Michael is a Danish farmer, producing 27,000 piglets/year in his 100% loose sow stable. The concept Antonius, which Michael produces within, is only sold within the Danish market. Antonius producers have a focus on animal welfare, health, minimum amount of antibiotics usage and meat quality. In tandem with pig production, Michael is also in charge of growing 1,000 hectares, which supplies the pig stable with all the wheat and barley it consumes. He is also a board member of Danish Crown, a member of the Danish Animal Ethics Advisory, chairman of the Danish Antonius cooperative and a member of the Veterinarian Board under the Danish Agriculture Council. Michael is a front runner in the Danish pig production, always willing to test the new ideas, to make Danish pig production even better.
